2021 Policing and Public Safety Voter Guide

Our group’s work advocating for police accountability in our local communities has made us well aware of the important role our local government and elected officials play in driving policy around this issue.

In 2021, key races at the municipal and County levels will determine who sets our course over the next four years. Decisions that impact all of us include choosing heads of our law enforcement departments, setting budget priorities, and negotiating collective bargaining agreements with police guilds.

Appreciating the impact of these off-year elections on our day-to-day lives, our hope is to empower voters with a non-partisan resource to understand how to vote their values through a lens of police reform and re-imagining of public safety.
