Public Safety to me means that everyone is free of violence, including state violence. We can make progress on this by investing in our communities in the areas of housing, basic income, food security, and access to healthcare and connection. We can measure progress by watching our numbers on homelessness reduce, and seeing people from marginalized backgrounds thriving in education and employment opportunity.

I oppose bills that increase criminal penalties and work to reduce our reliance on incarceration while shifting funds to community-based organizations.
