All citizens have basic rights and deserve to feel safe in our community. There should be no laws imposed that infringe on our basic rights. Unfortunately there is a more recent movement backwards in this area and more of us need to stand up and protect the rights of all citizens. Measured progress, to name just a few, would be to see a decrease in mass shootings directed at religions or races or sexual preference, not overturning Roe v Wade, and having fair treatment by police, with independent review boards.

I would advocate and pass legislation to protect all citizen’s rights.

Some states provide more in depth screening of their officers, which is aimed at rooting out racism, bullying, misogyny and other concerning traits that would make those that serve safer to the public and we should also implement more trainings on safely dealing with the public.
